TECH EX 09: UNIT 2 Project Presentation Workflow (LRC export settings, SlideShow compilation, Project Reflective Closing Statement)

After making basic edits in LRC, reducing exposure, increasing contrast and shadows, along with increasing saturation and vibrance slightly I brought over to PS to make some more edits. I applied two layers for levels and brightness and contrast. Below is also the image of my export settings which I used for all exports.

Basic edits were made in LRC to adjust the green tinge, increase the brass vibrance and decrease excess saturation. I created a background mask where I implemented a blur by using the clarity and dehaze sliders along with reductions in contrast and blacks to create a natural looking blur.

The cupcake and rose image was inspired by some of the more romantic moodboard ideas. I started with colour as a baseline to make composition decisions but was then inspired by mood and feel (it was also close to valentines day so romance was in the air). I only used LRC for these edits as I was quite happy with the original photo’s lighting and overall balance.

My squeezed citrus was shot during the late morning. I used black board to block the bottom right 3 inches of light, I also had a screen over the window, a silver reflector on the left, and a white reflector above. I used the modern 7 profile to start then made adjustments to the orange and reds in colour mixer. I applied these same edits to image 5/6 as well.

Bread is delicious. I liked this composition and organization of pantry items and different breads. In post-production the golden tones were enhanced and editing was kept minimal as I was quite happy with the outcome from the shoot. I could not decide which image to go with from this shoot, so here are my favourite 4.
