Concept 1
A Nostalgic Soundscape of Travel
Imagine being transported on a sonic journey through Asia, evoking the thrill and nostalgia of adventure. Concept 1 will create a captivating soundscape that takes listeners from the comfort of home to the bustling streets of Japan. Picture the initial rush of excitement and slight anxiety as the journey begins—car engines humming, boats gently rocking, trains clattering along tracks, and planes soaring through the sky.
As we arrive in Japan, the vibe shifts to tranquility. Listeners will be enveloped by the calming sounds of forest insects, the serene prayers in temples, and the relief of reaching the destination. This soundscape will not just be heard; it will be felt, immersing the audience in the experience as if they were right there alongside me. Utilizing a rich tapestry of field recordings, and foley—gathered during my travels—this three-minute journey will evoke a profound sense of place and memory, inviting everyone to relive the adventure through sound.

A Podcast Experience With Travel buddy Flo
Get ready for a delightful auditory experience with Concept 2, a podcast featuring engaging conversations between me and my adventurous 10-year-old daughter. Together, we’ll explore her unique perspective on traveling through a third-world country, combining wit, humour, and heartfelt storytelling.
This ten-minute episode will be infused with playful banter and moments of tension, as she shares her impressions and experiences, captivating listeners with her youthful insight. The sound design will weave together field recordings, found sounds, and foley, alongside our engaging dialogue, creating a vibrant backdrop that enhances the storytelling. Picture the laughter, the curiosity, and the occasional challenges of travel, all captured in a lively atmosphere that feels intimate and relatable. It will be a journey where every sound tells a story and every laugh is a reminder of the joy of discovery.
