Escaping the Grind
In this first draft of my soundscape project, I’m taking listeners on a personal journey from the stress of my corporate job to the peaceful streets of Japan. I wanted to play with the contrast between the chaotic, overwhelming sounds of the office and the calming, serene sounds of travel. The piece captures the anxiety of quitting, the thrill of a new adventure, and the quiet moments that make it all worthwhile—like grabbing a drink from a vending machine or walking to the beach at night. It’s a mix of recorded sounds and foley, and I’m excited to refine it further!
