This Tech exercise explores the collection and organization of feild recordings and foley sound effects. As I travelled through Asia I tried to take interesting feild recordings to use in this course. The tearoom was recorded in Japan, the beach was in the Philippines and alarm was in Taiwan. I introduce each recording on its own, and also add a mix of just the recordings in a little “day dream” at the end. Enjoy.

“Wander Free” is a personal project that captures my journey of leaving the corporate world behind to embrace life’s true priorities—family, freedom, and the beauty of the unexpected. Using real sound I collected while travelling through San Francisco, like the clinking of glasses, the hum of a jazz bar, and the late-night chatter at a diner, I’ve recreated the atmosphere of these true stories to bring listeners right into the experience. I also sourced authentic sound effects from reputable online resources, blending them with my ambiance recordings to craft an immersive, sensory-rich narrative that truly reflects the spontaneity and magic of life on the road.
